Release Notes

Our 8.1.0.59 release of Workplace Server includes the following change:

Service Configuration Popup

IMPORTANT  In order for Workplace Server to function correctly, it is critical that the user under which the service runs has full permissions to all sync paths.

To ensure proper configuration of Workplace Server:

  1. Go to Windows taskbar > > Configure Service. The following popup displays:

Check Your Configuration

The Workplace service runs as LocalSystem by default. To ensure proper functionality, you may need to change the user running the service to ensure adequate local permissions to the data set.

  1. Click the Open Services Control Panel button to change the user running the service.
