You've released a new Workplace app, but devices with previous version installed are still shown as up to date; and no one is getting update prompts yet. Why is that?
ANSWER We're being careful.
We always release new versions of the Workplace app without initially designating them as the most recent version. While we engage stringent testing for all releases, we still do this is a precautionary measure to protect all our users from mass, simultaneous release in the rare case of a release flaw.
We designate a new version as the "official" up-to-date version when we are fully satisfied that the release is completely stable. Only at that time will update prompts and out-of-date status changes be triggered.
