We're pleased to announce the release of Autotask Workplace Desktop 7.1 for Windows, featuring an enhanced Outlook plugin.
The Workplace Outlook Plugin allows you to send Workplace file links from within Microsoft Outlook, making it easier than ever to share files and providing an simple way for files to be accessed and downloaded by recipients. It also avoids the issue of emails being blocked due to attachment size.

The Outlook plugin will come bundled with Workplace Desktop 7.1 and will automatically install with Workplace Desktop.
New Features
Automatic Attachment Upload and Public Link Creation
When you attach a file to an email in the way you normally would, you now have the option to automatically upload the file to an “Outlook Attachments” project and create a public link. That link will then replace the standard attachment in your email.
The default auto-upload behavior is to prompt you for auto-upload, but the behavior can be set to always, prompt, or never. Public Link settings can also be configured. You will control these setting in Outlook plugin Preferences. For more information on Preferences, refer to Workplace Outlook plugin.

Thumbnail Display
Thumbnails of attachments are displayed in the browse window when you attach a file using the Workplace Outlook Plugin.
